Registrar's Office

Our Mission & Vision

The main principle of the Registrar’s Office is to provide service parallel to the University’s high quality level.
Our mission is to transfer accurate information to the students, parents, academic and administrative personnel with a warm attitude and, based on the academic calendar, at the right time.

Registrar’s Office has also devoted itself to have timely and accurate correspondence and information transfer between EMU and other Institutions.

Our Unit has staff members specifically allocated for each Faculty and Department. Each staff member deals with approximately 1,000 students. Students can contact these staff members about their problems, can have access to their student files and information, and are given information about specific issues such as military service and scholarships. Staff in the Registrar’s Office work in coordination with Academic Advisors and department secretaries when dealing with any kind of student-related issues such as official documents, transcripts, leave of absence (freezing registration), and graduation documents etc. Additionally, our unit guides students in dealing with the procedures at the Turkish Embassy in Nicosia.

One of our top priorities is to provide up-to-date academic information to the relevant stakeholders (students, academic and administrative personnel and parents). We believe that academic information transfer should take place in detail and on time. For this reason, we have recently launched our new WEB site. Any student related issue is regularly put on our WEB site in detail, enabling all stakeholders to access student related information any time.

Our students also have the privilege of accessing information such as lecture notes, financial information etc. from the Student Portal http://stdportal.emu.edu.tr prepared by the Computer Centre. Students can access their portal with the passwords obtained from their departments. In order to improve this currently used program and to increase its popularity, Registrar’s Office is working on a new project.

Prospective Students

Eastern Mediterranean University has a student population of more than 14,000, consisting of students from TRNC, TR and other countries. EMU Registrar’s Office and Registration, Promotion and Liaison Offices located in various cities of Turkey work in coordination in following all registration related procedures of the prospective students.

Registration Renewal

In EMU, students renew their registration at the beginning of every semester. Registrar’s Office provides assistance to students and academic personnel in registration renewal.
